This is a great website devoted to nothing but stories of hikers, climbers, and tourists who venture into the backwoods (or even local parks/crags) and for one reason or another befall to a tragedy or accident. It's great testament on how even experienced climbers can make dumb mistakes and pay the consequences.Check it out, you just might learn something from someone else's mistake.

Started in 2006, we were a small group of friends who got together to camp and to tackle small adventures. Now, branching out to both the experienced and the novice, we are a large group out to bring down big mountains, rivers, deserts, big walls, swamps, and whatever challenges the outdoors may have in store.
